It's chilling to learn that the 23-year-old perpetrator of the murder of Alkis Kabanou, had done the same, three years ago, in the same area and had even been arrested! His trial in the case has been postponed for three years.
The 23-year-old seems that for the murder of Alkis he used a Karambit type knife and it appears to be what caused the fatal blow to the 19-year-old. The knife wielded by the 23-year-old suspect who confessed to killing Alkis has a «claw» type blade which is advertised as being suitable for hunting, fishing and outdoor activities.
This particular knife, which became a murder weapon in the hands of the 24-year-old perpetrator, is inspired by the types of knives in the Malaysian, Indonesian and Philippine regions that are used as tools in agriculture, even resembling a scythe.
According to the findings of the forensic examination, 19-year-old Alkis succumbed to a combination of severe head injuries, as a result of multiple blows and the stab wound to his thigh.
The forensic conclusion states that the 19-year-old had wounds to his lower limbs from a straight and incisive instrument, which caused him to bleed profusely, while he had serious injuries to his head from very strong blows he received. The knife in question was a karambit knife found by neighbours lying in the rubbish.
