New details come to light about the gruesome crime in Thessaloniki with fan motives, following the testimonies of local residents.
The incident that led to the 19-year-old's gruesome death, began at 12.00 midnight on Tuesday.
The perpetrators, riding in two cars and after approaching the group of five youngsters, they asked them about their fan preferences.
According to the initial evidence, a total of five young men were moving on Gazi Street when they were the murderous attack. The 19-year-old reportedly succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while the two injured, respectively 19 and 20 years old, have been taken to the Papanikolaou Hospital.
«Don't hit me anymore» - «We heard breaking, swearing, shouting»
A female witness heard commotion in the evening as well as a person shouting «please, Don't hit me anymore». She even called the police.
«We heard them breaking like bottles or glass, it was a big mess. Of course no one came out of the building, it was a big group and we were afraid», describes a resident of the area. When the police and the ambulance came, everyone was in the car. had disappeared from the scene, some left in private cars, except for one or two people who were lying on the steps.
«I heard a lot of loud voices last night, swearing and a loud sound. As soon as I came out I saw a stool pass a corner shop, hit and kick a white car which was shot out,» another resident of the area told GRTimes.gr. «There were 5-6 people of young age, without being able to discern specifically how old they were. They were all wearing black clothes and jackets while after they started running, probably to hide».
Residents in the area since early morning passing by the spot and seeing the blood and activity wondered what happened with many saying it was «just a matter of time» to be killed in a fan-motivated incident.
A resident in an adjacent apartment building tells Voria.gr that at about 1 a.m. a commotion was heard in the neighborhood, with people shouting, but everything, as he says, «happened in no time».
