Mr. John Andronikos, graduate of the Department of Business Administration and Organizations of the University of Peloponnese.
The new Secretary succeeds Ms. Froso Kasimatis, who is released from the Municipality, returning at the same time to her organic position at the Kythera Hospital.
As Mr.Harchalakis made known, Ms.Kasimatis has been fighting a difficult battle with a serious health problem since last August, showing «unique patience and strength». Her absence in recent times has been particularly noticeable, as her contribution from the position of General Secretary was considered crucial to the smooth running of the municipality.
Below is the relevant statement of the Mayor of Kythera, Mr. Efstratios Harhalakis:
«Since last August, our Froso has been facing with unique patience and strength a serious health problem, accompanied by our wholehearted wishes for a speedy recovery and return to our island.
During these months, her absence from the Municipality is more than noticeable, as as Secretary General she had extremely important responsibilities, crucial, I would say, for the operation of the Municipality.
However, health comes first and so from today, after consultation and cooperation with her and her family, she is released from the Municipality and returns to the Kythera Hospital where her permanent position is, while the duties of the General Secretary is assumed by Yannis Andronikos, a graduate of the Department of Business Administration and Organizations of the University of Peloponnese.
We all wish Froso a quick return to our island and we are sure that Our Lady of Myrtidiotissa and her own perseverance and will will help her to overcome this obstacle.
At the same time, we welcome to the Municipality a young boy, full of enthusiasm for work and action!»
