British cinema awards BAFTA, which many consider to be the harbingers of Oscar, were awarded on Sunday evening (13/3) at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The impressive ceremony was marked by messages against the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Ukraine, while quite a few guests wore a pin with the colors of the Ukrainian flag as a sign of solidarity.
As for the evening itself, there were two films that stood out and won the most and most important awards. The The Power of the Dog of Netflix, but also the Dune. More specifically, the film «The Power of the Dog,» directed by Jane Campion, won the awards for «Best Film» and «Best Director.» «Dune,» directed by Denis Villeneuve, dominated with five BAFTAs in the categories of «Production Design,» «Visual Effects,» «Cinematography,» «Music,» and «Sound.».

It is worth noting that one of the highlights of the ceremony was the opening by Shirley Bassey, who performed the iconic song «Diamonds Are Forever» to celebrate 60 years James Bond.
