According to the 2021 census in Victoria, the number of people of Greek origin in Victoria is 181,184. In addition, another 16,514 people declare Cypriot ancestry.
In total, that is, there are close to 200,000 citizens of Greek origin in Victoria.
In Australia as a whole, there are 425,000 citizens of Greek origin and 41,000 of Cypriot origin.

THE GREEK LANGUAGE
The Greek language is said to «endure» despite the fact that the first generation is aging and shrinking:
Specifically, 229,643 people (8,000 fewer than in the previous census) declared that they speak Greek and our language is the 6th most spoken language in Australia outside of English.
Still:
According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, 92,314 people said they were born in Greece and 16,737 in Cyprus
This number is down by 3,744 people compared to the previous census of 2016.
The majority of those who say they were born in Greece are between the ages of 76-79 (15,642 people), with 67,260 people over 65.
