An alarm was raised at noon in the sea area between Kea and Makronissos when the passenger-vehicle ferry «IONIS» suffered a sudden blackout, resulting in its temporary immobilization.
There are 183 passengers and 25 crew members on board the ship. According to the Hellenic Coast Guard, the damage has been partially repaired and the «IONIS» is now sailing under its own power with one engine, bound for the port of Lavrio.
