With today's letter the major opposition (municipal faction First the Man) addressed to the newly appointed Deputy Minister of Shipping Mr. Kostas Katsafados and asks him for a second weekly route to connect the island of Kythera with Gythio, on an annual basis.

The councillors of the major minority faction of the Municipality of Kythera «FIRST THE PEOPLE» would like to congratulate you and wish you success in the work that was very aptly assigned to you by the Prime Minister Mr. Mitsotakis.
As a Member of Parliament for our region and given the interest you have always shown in our islands, it is certain that you are fully aware of the general problems facing our country, with the main one being that of coastal transport and its connection with mainland Greece in general.
In this context we would like to ask you to consider and implement the weekly routing, on an annual basis, of a second connection between our island and Gythio.
We believe that this will contribute to the further development of tourism in our country and will solve many problems of our fellow citizens, especially those of the professionals.
Having the confidence that you will consider and satisfy our request, which we believe is a request of all our fellow citizens, we thank you very much.
