Starring: Christina Hila Fameli, Hector Liatsos
Direction: Argyris Papadimitropoulos
True love is your right and we are by your side to defend it.
The present is a product of fiction. The persons, names and situations are fictitious and any resemblance is coincidental. The company that until now spoke only of love and romance, this time spoke of a story of abuse and femicide.
«What matters is what you do that you can still do»
The Diotima Centre for Women's Studies and Research together with Lacta, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, which is on 25 November, brought to light another case of femicide inspired by the 13 cases of femicide that have shocked society this year.
The video is accompanied by a wish that there will be no more femicide.
In the chilling video, Christina Heila-Fameli appears to be in a relationship that starts with love and ends in death.
Their relationship begins with a very large dose of love and affection: «You will be mine, only mine» the man whispers to her at the beginning. The couple lives their love on a sandy beach. Soon they seem to make the decision to move in together. He, however, begins to be jealous of her. He becomes intrusive and tries to cut her off from her social circle. He is violent towards her. Verbal and physical. Soon, the man murders her.
Another femicide. Not for real this time. In real life we already count 13 femicides.
For this reason, in order to avoid another femicide, the protagonist says at the end: «What matters is what you do that you still can,» thus giving courage and strength to women in an abusive relationship to leave.
