Approximately 2.3 million people tourists who have visited Greece so far, as the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Sophia Zacharaki said in a morning broadcast.
For yet another year, so far Germany is the leading country with 412,000 tourist arrivals in Greece, while the big surprise comes from the Polish market.
As the Deputy Minister of Tourism stressed shortly afterwards, in her statements to APE-MPA, the number of Poles who have come to Greece so far amounts to 202,000, when last year a total of 295,000 had come, with all that this implies for the tourist flows to Greece in the future.
As far as the US market is concerned, tourist arrivals to Greece amount to 100,000 visitors.
In any case, the tourist flows are encouraging and the Deputy Minister draws the attention of everyone to win the tourism bet.
It is recalled that in 2020 inbound travel decreased by 78.2% to 7,406,000, compared to 34,005,000 in 2019.
