The tourist season has started on the island of Kythera, with the professionals of the sector showing cautious optimism for the two months of July - August, based on the data on bookings so far.

Characteristic is the statement of a hotelier to Kythera.News, according to which, compared to previous years, there are no organized tourist arrivals in Kythera for the month. «Personally, it has not come to my attention that there are no groups on the island for the month as in the past,» he said. However, it is estimated that the number of visitors for the three-day Holy Spirit weekend will move at a satisfactory level and it is worth noting that 10 coaches are expected on the island during those days.
Interesting is also the assessment of the spring activities, with April recording a large number of arrivals (with a peak during the Easter holidays) and May, on the other hand, moving “in shallow waters”.
