In spring weather, the procession of the icon of Panagia Myrtidiotissa in the villages of Kythera started today, in the afternoon of New Monday, from the Metropolitan Church of the Crucifixion. George Lourantos writes about this year's procession:
«First stop was the village of Fratsia. The custom, which we had missed for two years due to the pandemic, returned dynamically, gave a special tone to the Easter festivities and filled with religious joy and spiritual jubilation the permanent residents and visitors of our island, which this year were very many. Let us wish that the custom is completed with good fortune and that our Virgin Mary returns to her throne».
