Monsieur Minimal – Biography
Monsieur Minimal was born in 1980. His real name is Christos Tsitroudis. Monsieur Minimal has been writing and composing for the last 8 years. He graduated from the Department of Electronic Music and Technology at the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki, where he studied under Dimitrios Adam. He distinguished himself in the «The Coca-Cola Sound Wave Festival» competition with the songs “Silk” and “Love is a Circle” and also participated in the “City Campers” compilation, where he achieved significant success. In November 2008, he released his debut album entitled Lollipop. His music is characterized by strong indie pop elements, with touches of electronica. Status magazine, one of the most recognized men's magazines in Greece, nominated him in the category of «Newcomer of the Year 2009.» Smile, one of the songs from the album Lollipop, was used in an advertisement for the largest grocery chain Safeway in the US and Canada, as well as in a commercial for Citroen Hellas. The song «Love Story» was in the Turkish top charts for several weeks and was released on one of the country's best-known compilations, «Hillside SU Feelgood vol.3.»—via http://stixos.eu
