A fan of his George Michael, the Stephen Cameron, bought the home of the singer in North London for about 25 million dollars (19 million pounds) in order to house his family, as reported by Daily Mail.
The 7-bedroom house, originally built in 1688, was renovated in the 1930s and now includes a garden pool. However, little is known about the property's specification due to its off-market sale, although several external valuations estimated the property's value at close to $15.9 million (£12 million).
Michael, who died on Christmas Day 2016, paid £7.65 million to acquire the property in 2002. He lived there until his last days.
«It's a beautiful residence, stunning and I can't wait to live there. I'm also a huge George Michael fan, so that makes it even better,» the new owner told the Daily Mail. «I know the area really well and have lived in this part of North London for a number of years. It's a beautiful house to live in and the whole family are happy.».
While he is unsure of the move date, Cameron said that «we don't know when we will move, but we intend to stay in it for many years.’.
George Michael had never let photographers into the house and the only time the world had seen the inside was when he opened his doors to Oprah Winfrey for an interview.
In 2019, information had circulated again that the house had been sold by the singer's two sisters, which did not correspond to reality.
