Τραγική εξέλιξη στον Τύρναβο, μετά τον εντοπισμό σορού σε προχωρημένη σήψη, στην Πέρα Χώρα Τυρνάβου.
Η μητέρα του Βασίλη Καλογήρου βρέθηκε στο σημείο που εντοπίστηκε η σορός και στη συνέχεια σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες έφυγε υποβασταζόμενη. Η ίδια φέρεται ότι αναγνώρισε τα ρούχα που φορούσε ο γιος της την ημέρα της εξαφάνισής του, αλλά και προσωπικά αντικείμενα. Ωστόσο, περισσότερο φως αναμένεται να ρίξει η ιατροδικαστική εξέταση και η ανάλυση DNA.
Σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες αναγνώριση δεν μπορεί να γίνει καθώς η σορός είναι σε προχωρημένη σήψη και το πρόσωπο μη αναγνωρίσιμο.
Επίσης, σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες, έχουν βρεθεί τα κλειδιά του σπιτιού του 39χρονου στις τσέπες των ρούχων της σορού, κάτι που ενισχύει την εκτίμηση ότι πρόκειται για τον εξαφανισμένο άνδρα.

At the same time, shocking testimony of a close relative, while information from local media stress that the label of the jacket with which the body was found, is identical to the jacket worn by the 39-year-old on the day he disappeared.
Specifically, in his statements to MEGA about the body found in Tyrnavos, a relative of Vassilis Kalogeros said:
«We are in a very difficult position, this child is. He's been identified from photos alone that they sent. There will be a forensic investigation and we will make sure. His mother has gone to the place where the body was found with the police officers. The spot where it was found has nothing to do with the river, it's up a hill, up a corral, that's where they took the child's body. The child did not go there alone.», says a close relative of Vassilis Kalogeros.
The first assessment of the coroner
A forensic expert has arrived at the scene and - at least macroscopically - there appear to be no signs of criminal activity, according to the initial assessment. However, further tests will be carried out, including DNA analysis, as the face of the body is not identified.
The chronicle
The body was spotted by a man from a nearby sheepfold, as the last 4-5 days the dogs in the area were restless and barked constantly, so they mobilized, climbed the hill, located the body and alerted the authorities.
The body is in advanced decomposition - the person is reportedly unrecognisable - and a DNA test will be required for identification.
The clothes match the ones the 39-year-old was wearing
The clothes of the deceased, the color and brand of the jacket, as well as the jeans and shoes match those worn by 39-year-old Vassilis Kalogirou when he disappeared on December 30, 2024.
It is recalled that a 39-year-old man on December 30 in the afternoon left his family's house in Larissa -where he had gone for the holidays- to take a walk, as he used to do, on the Pinios River. A major operation was set up to locate him, but no attempt to locate him was successful.
Teams searched the Pinios river, while searches were made in other parts of the area, even in monasteries, without result. Two months later, 39-year-old Vasilis remained missing.

«We had 4-5 days, the dogs were barking, but we didn't pay that much attention.». This was reported by the farmer who alerted the authorities about the body which was found by a worker of a livestock enterprise on a hill in Tyrnavos.
