The series is based on the novel by Mick Herron, who has written 9 sequels, so there is material for many seasons. Although the first season premiered this spring, the second season is already happening and is based on Herron's second book, Dead Lions. In fact, not only is it ready, but it already has its first trailer and we'll be seeing it this December, as the first two episodes premiere on the 2nd of that month.
Aldman is joined again by Christine Scott Thomas. Oldman recently stated that he is very happy to be part of the series, that he will continue to star in it for as long as it lasts and that when it is over, he will retire from acting.
