When asked about this, government spokesman Yiannis Oikonomou said, reaffirmed that the fuel subsidy platform will finally be launched this week. Government officials attributed the delay to the technical complexity of the issue.
Mr. Oikonomou also assured that support for natural gas and electricity will continue in May and reiterated that if the EU does not take timely and immediate decisions, the government will implement a national support plan, which will be announced by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis himself.
