Seventy years have passed, and perhaps with the passage of time memories fade and the protagonists are lost, but the messages of such heroic actions are timeless and remain intact and relevant.
It is said, and has been confirmed countless times, that Greeks have an archetypal behavior in their DNA: they do not tolerate tyrants, they want their freedom even if they are poor and hungry, and they are willing to give their lives for it.
This place in the land of Roumeli has been fortunate enough, through the sacrifices of its people, to experience world-historical events of resistance.
