For yet another night the residents of Rhodes, Corfu, Karystos, and Dervanakia, Achaia were faced with fire fronts, as several rekindled fires were noted with ground firefighting forces and volunteers fighting incessantly to contain them.

The fire continues to burn in Corfu where, according to the fire brigade, there have been rekindled in the area of Old Perithia.
Strong ground forces and 4 aircraft and a helicopter are operating to extinguish the fires, and are expected to be reinforced by other airborne means.
