The Kythira Bike Challenge 2023 is undoubtedly the challenge for cyclists from all over Greece, who will compete in the 74 km bike marathon or in the shorter routes of 33 and 19 km, all with a common starting and finishing point at the central square of Potamos.
The race, organized on Saturday, April 1st by the Kytherian Foundation for Culture and Development (KIPA) with the cooperation of the Hellenic Cycling Federation, will be a first-class opportunity for distinguished cyclists, who are prominent in the Greek cycling scene, to get to know the island of Kythera.
The variations in the landscapes of the route, the passages through forested and bare, rocky paths with the endless blue of the Myrtoo Sea as a background, the vertical crossing of the island and the picturesque villages that the cycling race crosses are bound to leave even the most demanding cyclists satisfied.
The aim of the organizers is to establish one or more national cycling meetings in Kythera, and to highlight a different tourist approach to the island.
