Today, Monday, the submission of applications for the «ExoEconomy 2023» programme starts at https://exoikonomo2023.gov.gr, which will remain open until 15 September.
The €300 million programme, of which €60 million is earmarked exclusively for vulnerable households to fight energy poverty, is expected to benefit 20,000 households.
The rates of investment support range from 40 to 75%, depending on the income of the household, while the remaining amount can be borrowed at a subsidised rate.
Eligible interventions are:
- Replacement of frames
Installation/ upgrade of thermal insulation
Heating/cooling system upgrade
Hot water system with the use of Renewable Energy Sources
Other Energy Saving Interventions (smart home management system).
For each eligible dwelling (detached house or apartment), the interventions must lead to a mandatory upgrade of at least three energy categories and at least to category B in the case of radical renovation, in order to ensure primary energy savings of more than 30%.

After the end of the submission of applications, and only for applications eligible in principle, a period of 75 days will be given for the submission of the Electronic Building Identity Card / Permanent Disposable Property.
Approved applications for which the applicant has chosen to enter the program with a loan are given 120 days to initiate and complete the loan process. Within this time period, an application for a loan must be submitted to a participating bank and approved. If the above period expires without action, the applicant has the option to proceed with equity.
Within 365 days from the date of submission of the application (total deadline), the entire physical and financial scope must be completed.
