According to initial estimates from the Geodynamic Institute, the earthquake was of magnitude 4.3 on the Richter scale and had a focal depth of 5 km.
The epicenter of the earthquake is 1 km West, Northwest of Marathias of Nafpaktia.
The vibration was particularly strong and was felt in the surrounding area, from Aigio to Patras.
