The series, which premiered a few days ago, is a parody of the life of little Prince George. It should be noted that the series had been ready since May, but was delayed due to the death of Prince Philip. However, internet users do not seem to have taken kindly to the satire in royal family of Great Britain.
It's worth noting that the caricature of the little heir to the British throne has been charismatically rendered by Family Guy creator Gary Janetti. With the same phlegmatic humour as in Family Guy, he presents his own version of the everyday life of the royal family.
Janetti presents the little prince as a tyrant with expensive tastes and a curious sense of humor. Of course, the fictional family could not be without his parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton. In fact, a trailer shows the Prince Harry (with the voice of Orlando Bloom), his wife, Meghan Markle, but also the Queen Elizabeth.
Prince Harry is shown in the series struggling to understand what exactly an «apartment» is during their move to Los Angeles from the palace, while the Queen kills a butler in cold blood for scaring her.
Prince Philip, who died a few months ago, is shown lying prostrate, drooling, and then falling dead on the floor.
However, the series, although not yet broadcast in the UK, has caused a storm of controversy, not only for the way it mocks Philip, but also for the fact that it satirises young children such as Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, George's brothers.
A tweet read: «Parody to adults is one thing, to children something completely different. It looks uncomfortable and could potentially harm them.».
