The removal of Stathis Panagiotopoulos from the TV show “Radio Arvila” was announced on Monday night, at the start of the episode, by Antonis Kanakis after the allegations that have been circulated, causing strong reactions in recent hours on social media and accusing him of revenge porn.
The well-known presenter is accused of publishing videos and photos of his former partner on pornographic websites without her consent.
Specifically, an Instagram user shared an anonymous complaint from a girl who allegedly fell victim to the presenter, followed by angry reactions and similar complaints from social media users who said they had been aware of the incident for the last three years.
As the user who communicated the complaint says in his posts, the girl who allegedly has taken legal action against the presenter, had entered into a two-year relationship with him in 2016, after meeting him in Alonissos. According to the complaint, after his separation, the girl found pornographic material (videos and photos) involving her and without her consent, which allegedly “had been uploaded by Stathis Panagiotopoulos, as he was the only one who had it in his possession”, as stated in the posts.
In fact, it is reported that there was a complaint to the police, while “the autopsy procedure was initiated, however the presenter “avoided arrest as at that time he was in Alonissos”.
Subsequently, it is stressed that Stathis Panagiotopoulos, who “continued to upload pornographic material from other women”, approached the girl a year after the complaint, asking her to withdraw it and even expressing interest in her: “He pretended to care and wanted to help her find a job. He even told her he wanted to marry her!”, it noted.
It is noted that last September “he did not appear in court” and that a new trial date has been set for “February 2022”.
