Endeavor Greece initiative to attract talent to start-ups

Η Endeavor Greece announced the creation of a new initiative aimed at Greeks and non-Greeks abroad who are interested in contributing their experience to transformation of the Greek market. At WorkInTech.gr, anyone can express interest in working for Greek technology companies.

By filling out a short form, anyone interested can add their profile to an international talent registry, which will be promoted to hiring managers across the country.

According to the announcement, WorkInTech is part of an overall strategy for the country that seeks to attract capable, specialized executives and combat the phenomenon of brain drain. More specifically, last November, the Greek government announced a 50% income tax reduction for “digital nomads” for the first seven years, provided they choose to return to Greece in 2021.

Similar tax deduction incentives have been announced for investors who decide to transfer their tax residence to Greece. At the same time, the Greek government is considering the possibility of increasing tax deductions on research expenses. Therefore, the establishment of this registry, which will bring together executives from around the world who wish to come to Greece, comes at the right time for the country's rapidly growing startups.

«Endeavor Greece is committed to mobilizing all key players who will participate in the development of the country's technology and innovation ecosystem, changing the narrative of entrepreneurship,» says Panagiotis Karampinis, General Manager of Endeavor Greece, adding: «In 2020 alone, more than 70,000 people visited our platforms to hear the stories of our entrepreneurs and be inspired by their impressive journey and success. More than half of them are executives from abroad who, through Endeavor's activities, maintain contact with the Greek network and its news.».

WorkinTech's goal is to give anyone who wants to the opportunity to work at one of the most innovative technology companies in Greece and thus take part in the transformation of the Greek ecosystem. By filling out a simple form, any talented individual, Greek or non-Greek, resident in Greece or abroad, can now take the next step in their career in Greece.
