Klitschko also clarified in his Telegram post that several explosions rocked the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv this morning, while the Ministry of the Interior announced that at least 8 people were killed and 24 were injured in the bombing of that area.
However, according to the Kyiv police, at least 5 people were killed and 12 were injured by Russian missile strikes on the Ukrainian capital.
“Most of the attacks took place in the center of the capital,” the police stated on their Facebook page. “So far, it has been reported that 12 people were injured. Five people were killed.”.
A bridge was also blown up in the Ukrainian capital, Anadolu reported, having clarified earlier, citing local media, that in addition to Kyiv, explosions were also reported in the cities of Zhytomyr, Kmelnytskyi, Dnipro, Lviv, and Ternopil.

Local media reported that rail service on the red line of the Kyiv Metro has been suspended and that all underground stations are now serving as shelters, according to Anadolu.
The Ukrainian Ministry of the Interior also announced that a Russian missile struck a street where security services and the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zele.

«They are trying to exterminate us and wipe us off the face of the earth … to exterminate civilians sleeping in their homes in (the city of) Zaporizhzhia. To kill people on their way to work in Dnipro and Kyiv,» wrote Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a post on Telegram.
«The air raid sirens haven't stopped sounding across Ukraine. Missiles are striking us. Unfortunately, there are casualties.».
The Ukrainian president also added that the timing of the attack was chosen with the aim of causing as many casualties as possible
«They want panic and chaos; they want to destroy our energy system,» he said in a video posted on social media, adding that the strikes involving «dozens of missiles» and Iranian Shahed drones targeted the entire country from north to south and from east to west, striking Kyiv, as well as the regions of Khmelnytskyi, Lviv, Dnipro, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Zhytomyr.
«Their second target is the people. The timing and the targets were specifically chosen to cause as much damage as possible,» he added.
«Putin is a terrorist»
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stated that the Russian missile strikes that took place today across Ukraine show that President Vladimir Putin «is a terrorist who speaks with missiles,» while the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense vowed retaliation.
«Multiple Russian strikes across Ukraine. Putin’s only tactic is to instill terror in peaceful Ukrainian cities, but he will not break Ukraine. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense announced that it will seek to retaliate for today's Russian strikes.

Putin Blames Kyiv for the Explosion in Crimea
