New information on the Power Pass allowance, which is expected to be credited to the accounts of beneficiaries in the coming days, was given during a television interview by Energy Minister Costas Skrekas.
As he said, speaking to SKAI, the reimbursement will be made gradually but the aim is to credit the entire amount to each beneficiary.
In fact, the minister said that the decalcification in electricity bills is expected to intensify even more in the next period, when the indexation clause is abolished and subsidies are increased to the total monthly consumption of the household.
At the same time, the minister made it clear that if energy prices rise further due to the interruption for maintenance work on Nord Stream 1 and eventually «close» the valve, the subsidy from the state will also increase.
During the same interview, Mr.Skrekas referred to all four interventions to reduce the risk and not to run out of gas.

«In this way we will cover even the emergency needs while constantly reducing our dependence on Russian gas. Greece, according to the Commission's analysis, faces the lowest risk for sufficiency,» the minister said.
Regarding the excess profits of energy companies, he said that RAE will complete the detailed audits and very soon the figures will be given.
«Greece will be the first country in Europe to recover 90% of the excess profits from production. It will be hundreds of millions of euros,» the minister added.
