The Rocket Boat «Lieutenant Deyannis» is visiting Kapsali of Kythera and will be open to the public today and tomorrow, between 17:00 and 19:00 in the afternoon. This is a unique opportunity for the residents and visitors of the island to get to know one of the modern warships of the Greek Navy, which is equipped with powerful weapon systems and carries a significant history.
The TPC «Deyannis» bears on its coat of arms a seagull flying over the waves, a symbol of the speed and agility of the ship, while at the same time highlighting the strong connection of the crew with the sea and maritime traditions. The two weapons depicted on the shield, a guided missile and a torpedo tube (T/L), underline the exceptional firepower of the ship, which is capable of launching HARPOON missiles as well as SST-4 torpedoes.
The presence of the TPC in Kapsali gives visitors the opportunity to learn more about the mission and capabilities of the ship, as well as to understand the equipment that contributes to the national security of our country.
