Payments from e-EFKA, OAED, and OPEC, due by April 1

The Payment of main and supplementary pensions for April, pension advance payments for the same month, as well as the OPEKA benefits For March, this includes, among other things, the scheduling of payments by e-EFKA, OAED, and OPEC for the week of March 28–April 1. In total, approximately 2.4 billion euros will be paid out to nearly 5.3 million beneficiaries.

In particular, as stated in a statement by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs:

1. The following payments will be made through e-EFKA:

• On Monday, March 28, a total of 555.1 million euros will be paid out for the April main and supplementary pensions to 979,402 pensioners from the former OAEE, OGA, ETAA, NAT, ETAT, ETAP-MME, and DEI.

• On Tuesday, March 29, a total of 740.9 million euros will be paid to 1,470,104 beneficiaries for the April main and supplementary pensions of salaried employees, (i.e., retirees from the former IKA–ETAM, banks, and OTE) and the public sector, whose AMKA numbers end in 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9.

• On Wednesday, March 30, a total of 741.7 million euros will be paid to 1,472.212 beneficiaries for the April main and supplementary pensions of retirees from the former IKA–ETAM, banks, OTE, and the public sector, whose AMKA numbers end in 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8.

• On Wednesday, March 30, 10.5 million euros will be paid to 27,500 beneficiaries as advance payments of their April pensions, in accordance with Law 4778/2021.

• During the week of March 28–April 1, 17 million euros will be paid out to 630 beneficiaries following the issuance of decisions regarding lump-sum payments.

• A total of 530,000 euros will also be paid to 570 beneficiaries for benefits from the former TAYTEKO.

• Finally, 208,551 euros will be paid to 1,600 insured individuals to cover overdue health benefits.

2. The OAED will make the following payments:

• 14 million euros to 36,000 beneficiaries for the payment of unemployment benefits and other benefits.

• 22 million euros will be paid to 11,000 beneficiaries as part of subsidized employment programs.

• 6.5 million euros will be paid to 10,000 mothers for subsidized maternity leave.

3. OPEKA will make the following payments on Thursday, March 31:

• 119.4 million euros will be paid to 580,673 beneficiaries for family child benefits.

• 70 million euros will be paid to 168,000 beneficiaries for disability benefits (disability and living allowances).

• 45.8 million euros will be paid to 219,941 beneficiaries under the Minimum Guaranteed Income program.

• 33.8 million euros will be paid to 278,796 beneficiaries as a housing allowance.

• 12.1 million euros will be paid to 12,114 beneficiaries as a birth allowance.

• 11.6 million euros will be paid to 34,943 beneficiaries as benefits for uninsured seniors.

• 1.2 million euros will be paid to 11,209 beneficiaries as the government’s contribution toward loans under the «GEFYRA» program (due to COVID-19).

• 169,734 euros will be paid to 2,574 beneficiaries as a government contribution toward loans (primary residence protection).

• 223,602 euros will be paid to 780 beneficiaries as a housing assistance allowance.

• 219,012 euros will be paid to 6,194 beneficiaries as an allowance for expatriates and refugees.

• 135,228 euros will be paid to 170 beneficiaries to cover funeral expenses for uninsured individuals.
