TV interview gave the parents of the three girls from Patras who died within 3 years, for the case that has shock the country. The two parents reiterated what from time to time have said about the history of deaths of the three children and referred to the accusations that have been levelled against them.
«From the 29th of this month until today all I hear is: “you're a killer, you're a murderer, you killed them, you have the perfect crime.” Okay... How much?» said, among other things mother of three children.
«I'm seeing a psychiatrist for Munchausen's Syndrome!»
While the interview was «playing» on air, Roula Pispirigou was talking to Konstantinos Flamis on messenger.
The dialogue is revealing:
C.F. Why do you think some people say... the mother slayer and all that?;
Roula P.: «Because they are suspicious»!
K.F..: And why don't they say, for example, Manos?;
Roula P.: Because the journalists emphasize me.
K.F.. : Journalists may have sources. They don't make it up.
Roula P.: I know there is nothing.
C.F. Yeah, but you understand. There are scenarios floating around.
Roula P.: Yes, I understand, But you understand my position too. If they told you about your mother, what would you say?;
K.F..: I would have fallen from the clouds. But it seems so strange to them. And the doctors can't give answers. And there's the Munchausen's syndrome by proxy scenario.
Roula P.: Yes. When the time comes, that will also be proven.
C.F. That a person might be suffering from it? How will this be proven?;
Roula P.: I don't know these things. Probably from psychiatric tests. They wouldn't know either?;
C.F.: Of course they will know. If asked, will you see a psychiatrist?;
Roula P. Of course. Of course I'm going.
It should be recalled that the «Munchausen syndrome by proxy», to which Roula Pispirigou also referred, we find it strongly in the forensic psychology. It mainly responds to women who cause illness in their children if they are mothers, and if they are not, to helpless people (elderly, seriously ill, children and infants).
They usually have a paramedical profession, e.g. nurses, so that they have access to victims. They are people with non-existent self-esteem and through the «life control» they exert on their victims, they get the self-esteem they need since they now feel powerful that someone's life depends on them. There are many cases of female serial killers who have this Syndrome.
They rarely stop at one victim because they rarely focus on a single victim. They work on many people at once, and when they are mothers they work on all their children in turn, and of course they go as far as killing their victims. The majority of them belong to that category that we call in Criminology «Angels of Death».
The lawyer didn't know anything
It should be stressed that their lawyer Yannis Kottas did not know anything about the interview that the parents gave to the TV station. He had expressed his disagreement with any further media exposure of the couple, however, the couple at midnight on Wednesday gave the 62-minute TV interview.
