With roadblocks and checks everywhere, the government plans to prevent movement out of the county during the Easter period. In addition to the current fine of 300 euros, those who are considering violating the emergency measures for coronavirus during the Easter period should be aware that they are likely to face criminal charges.
The traffic police checks will are sweeping and heavy fines both on toll roads and on side roads. All papers will be checked and detailed explanations will be given tomorrow, Friday, the Deputy Minister of State for Civil Protection, Nikos Chardalias.

The six cases allowing movement within the country.
These are:
- Moving out of the county for citizens who work in a different county than the one in which they reside
- Moving outside the county for health reasons, upon presentation of the relevant medical certificate
- Travel outside the county for a ceremony (e.g. funeral of a first or second degree relative), which is certified by a written declaration of the citizen
- Moving out of the county for parent communication with the children and concerns the divorced or separated parents
- Moving out of the county to go to the place of permanent residence, with the certificate of residence special use by the Independent Public Revenue Authority (AADE) or with the Ε1
- Moving outside the county for students, for which proof of primary residence and a document from the School for returning to it are required.
