Panhellenic Examinations 2022 - Coronavirus: the measures that will apply to the exams

The Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs has announced the protocol regarding the health measures that will be in force during the 2022 Panhellenic Examinations.

The Protocol concerning the sanitary measures which will be in force at the time of the Panhellenic examinations 2022, as well as during the examination of the music courses «Music Performance and Interpretation», «Music Perception and Knowledge» and the practical tests for admission to TEFAA, was announced by the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, following the recommendation of the National Committee for the Protection of Public Health against the coronavirus COVID-19.

  1. The President and the members of the Examination Committees of each examination centre for candidates of general, special, music courses, who are examined orally or in writing, ensure that:
  • a distance of one and a half metres between candidates,
  • make the use of protective masks compulsory in all indoor areas,
  • to avoid confusion.
  1. Teachers and administrators who have not been vaccinated, or have been ill in the last semester, and are participating in any way in the national examinations, are required to undergo laboratory testing for COVID-19 coronavirus (PCR or rapid test, at their expense) once a week, up to 48 hours before their arrival at the educational structures.

  2. Care must be taken to ensure adequate natural ventilation in the classrooms and to ensure the cleanliness of the examination centres-school units.

  3. For the examination of the course «Music performance and interpretation»:

  • the use of wind and percussion instruments is permitted,
  • a distance of 3 metres shall be maintained between the candidate and the scorers behind the screen,
  • the musical instruments are cleaned with disinfectant before use by each candidate.
  1. For the conduct of the practical tests for the admission of candidates for the admission to the Faculty of Fine Arts, the following applies:
  • cleaning with disinfectant liquid of the examination instruments and auxiliary equipment before use,
  • a distance of one and a half metres between candidates in the preparation or warm-up areas of the candidates. In all cases, the relevant instructions from the Scientific Health Committee of the General Secretariat for Sport shall apply.
