Strong reactions causes once again the lack of teachers in the schools of Kythera and Antikythera, with the combination «All Together, Kythira-Antikythira» issue press release requesting the immediate placement of teachers and lecturers in schools on the islands.
The combination states that will be present in every effort to claim, but also resolutely opposed if the indifference and mockery continues.
«The students of Kythera and Antikythera deserve better», they say, calling on the state to act immediately so that to avoid further education gaps affecting the future of the island's children.

We ask immediate coverage of the organic vacancies in the schools of our islands.
We ask the appointment of permanent teachers and lecturers to fill the vacancies.
For the umpteenth time we find ourselves in the difficult position of protesting the deterioration of public education in Kythera. The state must realise that the notorious and much advertised «regional development» is an empty letter if the inhabitants of the islands are treated as second-class citizens, if our children do not have equal opportunities and equal possibilities in education.
The Municipality of Kythera must take substantial initiatives to radically address the problem with the shortage of teaching staff.
We will be present in any positive claim. Of course we will be firmly opposed if the mockery continues...
The students of Kythera and Antikythera deserve better.
