Started repair works on parts of the new road connecting Agia Anastasia with Agia Pelagia, since subsidence has occurred which makes the passage of vehicles dangerous.
The much-publicized project of Agia Anastasia Street that just a short time ago was completed and executed by the Municipality of Kythera with funding from the Attica Region of Attica and under the supervision of the Department of Technical Support of the Municipalities of the Islands.
About the Project
The project «Maintenance - Repair of Municipal Roads of Kythera Island» concerns the improvement of the roads (widening, technical, flood protection and asphalting) to the beach of Melidoniou, the beach of Kaki Lagada, the Agia Pelagia - Agia Anastasia street and the Diakopoulianika road - Progi - Agios Ioannis Gerakari. These are very important road projects of major importance, the implementation of which has been requested by local communities for many years.
The initial budget of the project based on the studies is 2.475.000,00€ and the amount of the contract, after the achieved discount of 44,9%, amounts to 1.368.579,84€.
