Overall 4,350 new jobs were created within the November from the new improved employment programmes of OAED, an increase of 180% year-on-year and 220% compared to November 2018.
From the 4,350 recruitments unemployed in new jobs the November through the programmes of OAED, 2,100 were implemented through the employment programme for unemployed people aged 30 and over, which is now «closed» for new applications, as the positions were overfilled. At the same time, 1,350 recruitments were completed, through the employment program for unemployed 18-29 year olds, which has exceeded 50% in absorption of the offered positions, and 325 recruitments are related to the employment program for unemployed graduates aged 22-29, which has recorded a coverage of more than 35% of positions.
The 7 open programmes from the OAED
In detail, the OAED implements 7 open programmes 38,600 new seats, with grant rates 60-100% salary and insurance contributions:
- Labour market reintegration cheque scheme with 9,200 new jobs, for a period of 12 months, with a minimum gross remuneration of 830 euros for subsidised unemployed people who turn their unemployment benefit into a «labour market re-integration cheque». The subsidy amounts to 80% of the monthly salary and non-salary costs up to 830 euros per month.
- Employment programme for the long-term unemployed 55 - 67 years old with new jobs in NPAs, public enterprises, as well as municipal and regional enterprises, for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension for a further 12 months. The subsidy amounts to 75% of the monthly salary and non-salary costs up to EUR 750 per month.
- Unemployment programme for the unemployed 18-29 years old with 8,000 new jobs work, lasting 12 months. The subsidy amounts to 75% of the monthly wage and non-wage costs up to EUR 750 per month.
- Employment programme for unemployed graduates up to 39 years old with 5,200 new jobs, lasting 15 months, in the following sectors: 1) energy, 2) life sciences and health-pharmaceuticals, 3) environment and sustainable development-climate change, 4) culture, tourism, cultural and creative industries, 5) scientific research and development, 6) manufacturing-industry, 7) information and communication technologies, 8) materials-manufacturing and 9) transport and logistics. The subsidy amounts to 60% of the monthly salary and non-salary costs up to 800 euros per month.
- Employment programme for unemployed graduates aged 22-29 with 3,500 new jobs, lasting 10 months. The subsidy amounts to 75% of the monthly salary and non-salary costs up to EUR 750 per month.
- Work experience programme for unemployed 18-30 year olds with 3,000 new jobs in the Regions of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, North Aegean, Thessaly and Central Greece, for a period of seven months. The grant amounts to 100% the monthly wage and non-wage costs, as the OAED will pay a monthly allowance equal to the legal minimum wage (with full social security contributions).
- Employment programme for unemployed people from vulnerable social groups with 1,200 new jobs, for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension for a further 12 months. The subsidy amounts to 90% of the monthly salary and non-salary costs up to EUR 800 per month.
According to the OAED's announcement, the above programs have simplified the participation requirements, have accelerated the integration, recruitment and payment procedures and there are no commitments after the end of the grant. The subsidy of wage and non-wage costs includes the corresponding Christmas, Easter and holiday bonuses in the private sector.
