underwent surgery by Cuban doctors involved in Operation Miracle«
and offer their services - free of charge - to patients throughout Latin America.
Teran suffered from cataracts.
Cataract operations are not so simple for poor people in Latin America.

in 2007 The son of Teran,
on the 40th anniversary of Che's assassination,
sent a message of thanks to the Cuban doctors who restored his father's sight to a Bolivian newspaper....
