Two burglaries occurred in the Kythera in the last two days, with the total number of the last two days amounting to 10, as reported by the newspaper “Kythira” in its electronic version.
The latest incidents occurred in Lower Livadi (16/03) and Saint Elias (night of 16/03 to 17/03). Of these, according to the report of “Kytheraika”, in the first one the owners were absent at the time of the burglary, and in the second, the owner who was in the house, pretended to be asleep. In both cases, the perpetrators obtained loot that has not yet been estimated.
As the newspaper “Kytheraika” reports, the increase in the number of burglaries has activated the reflexes of the island's authorities. In the wake of the latest incidents, increased measures were observed at the port of Diakoftium on Thursday morning, with a mixed team of Coast Guard and Police to carry out thorough checks on departing passengers.
