The Greek government's measures are intensifying in order to halt the course of the pandemic.
Today, Thursday 05/11/20, the Prime Minister, in the presence of Professor Sotiris Tsiodras, is expected to announce the new package of measures to halt the increasing trend of the new coronavirus in our country.
The measures, which come after the recommendations of the committee of scientists, come as a rejection of the new triple negative record recorded yesterday, Wednesday 04/11, which concerns all three statistical categories. Specifically, yesterday we had 2,646 cases, 18 recorded deaths, while the number of people intubated reached 179.
The new measures reportedly include:
- 30-day lockdown across the country
- Ban on travel to and from the red counties
- Movements by SMS to 13033, while for workers who will have to go to and return from work, relevant documents will be issued through «Ergani» in consultation with their employers.
- A ban on travel to and from the ‘red’ counties.
- Closure of high schools. Primary schools remain open.
The measures are expected to come into force the day after tomorrow, Saturday, from 6:00 am.
