The Holy Metropolis of Kythera and Antikythera invites the Christian community to two important ecclesiastical events in May: the feast of Saint Theodoros, patron saint of the island, and the celebration of the end of the catechetical schools, with the participation of children and parents.
Feast of Saint Theodoros - 11 & 12 May 2025
The island of Kythera will solemnly honour the Hosios Theodore, her patron saint and ascetic, the weekend 11 and 12 May 2025 in the homonymous Monastery.
🔹 The Sunday 11 May, at 7 p.m., will be held Great Solemn Vespers, presided by His Grace Bishop Chrysanthos of Kernitsa.
🔹 The Monday 12 May, on the feast day, will be celebrated Archdiocesan Collect, and will be followed by the Holy Procession of the Holy Sacred Heart of Saint Theodoros in the precinct of the Monastery.
The Bishop of Kythera and Antikythera, Mr.Seraphim, extends a cordial invitation to all, wishing the blessing and protection of the Saint for the faithful in attendance.
Sunday School Closing Celebration
Although the relevant call does not contain detailed information in the file, according to the logo and the style of the form it is the the traditional closing celebration of the Sunday Schools of the Metropolis, which takes place every spring, with the participation of children of all levels.
The event includes psalms, speeches, creative activities of children, as well as thanks to parents and catechists, as a seal of the year's spiritual progress.
