With the summer season just around the corner, safety in the aquatic environment becomes a matter of utmost importance, especially for the young people of the island. In this context, the Kythera High School hosted the highly topical educational programme of the Coast Guard Headquarters entitled «I watch - I learn - I care», investing in the prevention and awareness of the new generation.
The action was implemented in two phases, on 12 and 15 May 2026, in the school's multipurpose hall, attracting the interest of the entire student community. The main presentation was given by the officer of the Coast Guard, Ms. Niki Giannakopoulou, who imparted to the teenagers critical knowledge about the dangers of the sea in a direct and understandable way.
