Shock has been caused by the death in a car accident of the famous rapper Mad Clip. The 34-year-old died when the vehicle he was driving veered off course at 2:30am on Thursday morning and under unclear circumstances crashed into a pillar on Athens and Faneromeni Avenue in Vouliagmeni, Attica.
Mad Clip, as his stage name is, was taken in an extremely critical condition to Evaggelism, where he breathed his last breath, while earlier firefighters who rushed to the scene, tried to extricate him for two hours.
The young singer had stated in interviews that he had a passion for fast cars and speed, and last February he was fined for breaking traffic hours and violating the traffic code. Significantly, as the footage shows, the driver didn't even have time to brake entering the bend before he completely lost control of his vehicle.
Video footage being examined by authorities shows a white Audi passing by the spot where the rapper died. The second vehicle in question is recorded as stopping just as Mad Clip loses control.
The aim of the Traffic Police is to identify any eyewitnesses and the driver of the particular car to determine whether or not there was any involvement, whether it was a “race” or whether the singer had developed excessive speed, lost control of his vehicle and hit a pillar and a tree in the island. As mentioned above, the impact was severe and as a result it took at least two hours for the fire brigade men to be able to extricate the driver, who was then taken to the “Evangelismos” hospital where he was pronounced dead.
