Negative is the recommendation of the Committee of Infectious Diseases to impose lockdown in Thessaloniki, as the scientists of the Ministry of Health judged that the epidemiological data do not require immediate emergency measures for Thessaloniki. In the afternoon, the announcements of the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection Nikos Hardalias on the emergency measures expected to be announced in Achaia and Euboea.
It is noted that the committee of infectious diseases began to meet from 10:00 in the morning of Friday, 12/02, with the information to say that after Attica, in hard lockdown are Achaia, Rethymno and Euboea. However, no additional measures are expected for Thessaloniki and Attica.
It is noted, however, that some experts have been sounding the alarm for Thessaloniki in recent hours, fearing the possibility that the hospitals may reach their limits, as in the previous November.
