With great success the Kythira Association of Athens organized and carried out on Sunday 18 June 2023 a pilgrimage trip to Panagia Myrtidiotissa in Malantreni, Argolida. Because the pericircular church did not have an icon of the type of Myrtidiotissa, the Kytheraic Association dedicated a beautiful copy, which was placed in the church solemnly. The event was accompanied by a Divine Liturgy and a tzirgotiki artoklasia. In the courtyard of the church, the President of the Kytherian Association, Mrs. Vasiliki Samiou, together with the Priest, planted a myrtle tree, which came on purpose from Kythera, to inaugurate the ties of the Myrtidiotissa of Malandrenio with the Holy Pilgrimage of Myrtidia.
