«The Kytheraik Brotherhood of Piraeus of Athens and the Kytheraik Foundation for Culture and Development successfully organized a day trip and hike in Plataea of Boeotia and Vilia of Attica, making a step for joint actions.
The more than 30 participants were guided to the ancient site of Plataea where the historical battle took place and then a part of the excursionists walked from Erythres through Kithaironas and after a three-hour hike arrived in Vilia where they met with the rest of the group who visited the sights of the area.
The hikers had the opportunity to be guided by Mr.Sotiris Kolia in the ancient site and then he led the hikers on the 8km route.An excellent knowledge of the area and the historical events, he impressed with his knowledge and his willingness to answer all questions. The day ended with good food and coffee at Vilia.
