With the vaccines for the coronavirus expected around the end of December 2020, the issue that has arisen is whether Greek citizens will put aside any scruples and proceed with their vaccination.
On the issue, the Minister of Health Vassilis Kikilias, who clarified that all companies have committed themselves that no discount will be given for the safety of the formulations.
At the same time, Mr.Kikilias also referred to the national campaign to tackle the pandemic, in relation to the coronavirus deniers.
«I am convinced that the vast majority of our fellow citizens will both understand and be properly informed and vaccinated. and those few who don't want to do it... I have to tell you that our Constitution explicitly states that vaccination is not compulsory in the country. But it is the responsibility of an organised state and all its leaders at all levels to urge people and inform them properly so that they get vaccinated,» the minister said.
Mr.Kikilias also touched on the issue of vaccination for influenza, making special reference to the double the number of our fellow citizens who were vaccinated this year compared to last year, which translates into 4 million vaccinations.
