The new laboratory-confirmed cases of Covid-19 recorded in the last 24 hours in Greece are 18,333, of which 45 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates.
The total number of cases is 1,781,203 (daily change +1.0%), of which 49.8% are males. Based on confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 406 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 2,749 are associated with an already known case.
The new deaths of patients with Covid-19 are 73, with a total of 22,549 deaths recorded since the start of the epidemic. 95% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.
The number of hospitalized intubated patients is 668 (59.6% men). Their median age is 66 years. 80.4% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older. Among intubated patients, 541 (80,99%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 127 (19,01%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,972 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The admissions of new Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the territory are 544 (daily change +16.49%). The seven-day average admission rate is 511 patients. The median age of cases is 36 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
