Letter to the Minister of Health, Vasilis Kikilias sent by the secretary of the Movement for Change's parliamentary group, Vasilis Kegkeroglou, announcing that the Movement for Change's doctor-MPs are already at the disposal of the National Health System. They are Michalis Katrinis (dentist), Odysseas Konstantinopoulos (radiologist), Baran Bourhan (psychiatrist), Andreas Poulis (nephrologist), and George Frangidis (obstetrician-gynecologist).
Mr. Kegeroglou states, among other things, that «since the outbreak of the new coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic in our country, the Movement for Change has actively and effectively supported the national effort to prevent the spread of the virus and reduce the number of cases and human losses,» and points out that «the battle against the coronavirus is a collective one and requires everyone to join forces, beyond and above political or ideological differences and divergences.».
The secretary of the KINAL parliamentary group emphasizes that «heart» of our society's defense against common danger remains the National Health System, which was strengthened by KINAL's proposal, accepted by the Hellenic Parliament, to create fifty ICU beds at Sotiria Hospital «Sotiria» Hospital, and the necessary equipment for five ICU beds was symbolically offered.
«In this context, and always with the aim of further strengthening public health infrastructure, our Parliamentary Group officially confirms that our MPs from the health sector have already responded on their own initiative to the general call for the mobilization of the country's medical staff, placing themselves at the disposal of the National Health System and hospital units, whose resilience is now being tested to the limit,» notes Vasilis Kegeroglou.
