Silver knapweed L.

Perennial shrub endemic to southern Greece. Native to western Crete and Kythira. Blooms from May to late July.

Thanks to the beautiful silver-gray color of its leaves, it is cultivated as an ornamental plant all over the world. The plant in its wild form is rare and is protected (Presidential Decree 67/1981).
