Four months after the imposition of the second lockdown, and travel outside the prefecture is still not permitted. According to the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection and Crisis Management, Niko Hardalia, the travel outside the prefecture is only permitted for the following six reasons:
- Travel outside the prefecture for citizens who work in a different county from the one in which they reside
- Travel outside the prefecture for health reasons, upon presentation of the relevant medical certificate
- Travel outside the prefecture for a ceremony (e.g., funeral of a first- or second-degree relative), which is certified by a written statement from the citizen
- Travel outside the prefecture for parents to communicate with their children and concerns divorced or separated parents
- Travel outside the prefecture to return to one's place of permanent residence, with the special use residence certificate from the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (IAPR) or with the E1 form
- Travel outside the prefecture for students, for which proof of primary residence and a document from the School confirming return to it are required
