Update of the emergency weather bulletin of EMY, regarding the rains and thunderstorms expected in the next hours in the territory.
More specifically
1. Locally heavy rain, thunderstorms and possibly locally hail are forecast:
a. in Epirus and western Central Greece until the afternoon
b. in the western and southern Peloponnese until the evening hours
c. in Crete (mainly in the western and southern parts) until the evening hours
d. in the Cyclades (mainly the southernmost islands) in the afternoon
e. on the islands of the northern and eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese from early afternoon until the evening.
2. Very strong to gusty winds will blow:
a. in the Ionian Sea and the coasts of the western mainland (Epirus, western Central Greece and western Peloponnese), westerly 7 to 9 Beaufort and from the evening until the early hours of Wednesday 18-02-2026 north-westerly 9 to 10 Beaufort
b. in Crete, the Cyclades and the southeastern Peloponnese, from west 8 Beaufort and from the evening until the early hours of Wednesday 18-02-2026 9 to 10 Beaufort
c. in central Macedonia (including the city of Thessaloniki) from tonight until the morning hours of Wednesday 18-02-2026 northwest 8 to 9 Beaufort.
