From today, Monday 1 March, the employers shall be required to have provided them with Employees them with new movement certificates for the performance of their work, which may be valid until Monday 8 March at the latest. From Tuesday 9 March, businesses are required to re-issue movement certificates, which may be valid for up to 14 days.

These certificates have already started to be issued and issued electronically by the Information System «ERGANI» of Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and on the other hand from the website forma.gov.gr, on the basis of a solemn declaration - application by the employer, which is granted exclusively to employees who provide their work in person to the enterprise, i.e. to the employer.

Please note that no movement certificate is issued to employees who are on:

(a) scheme suspension of an employment contract, β) teleworking and c) legal permission. These workers can move through the use of 6 special categories, which allow the exceptional movement of citizens by sending an SMS to 13033.

Closed enterprises mandated by a public authority, on the basis of their IDs, may issue the corresponding certificates only to those workers employed in their authorised activities.

Furthermore, by filling in a form through the «ERGANI» Information System or the forma.gov.gr website, they can also move self-employed persons without an employer, self-employed persons and self-employed persons who are self-employed. They must bring with them a printout from the TAXIS information system of the tax data of the individual person and business activity or a corresponding electronic representation. Especially scientists - self-employed persons can show their professional identity card of their association. Members of a management body may also move using a new form via the ERGANI system, subject to a solemn declaration by the company they belong to.
